Ever since my grandparents first took me to visit their house boat as a kid, I have been fascinated with the maritime world, and I am happy to now be working in this world for 10 years at MARIN. My work at MARIN primarily concerns the availability of offshore vessels to safely and efficiently operate in harsh environments. This includes computation of extreme wave loads in frequency domain and cfd, time-domain simulations of non-linear dynamic side-by-side systems, and long-term statistical analysis. This gives insights into the safety, efficiency, and longevity of our clients' offshore projects. Outside of the Offshore department, I assist our Ships department with the development of the SafeTrans voyage analysis software, and our Performance at Sea department in full scale measurements of US vessels. I am also currently the chair of the SNAME H-10 Controllability panel.I am happy to talk to you about hydrodynamics!
