With the increasing need for improved fuel performance, smaller carbon footprints and optimised cargo volumes, the need for shipping data is vital. A unique, collaborative initiative has been formed named CoVadem. CoVadem brings together more than 50 shipowners from the inland shipping industry, MARIN, Deltares, Bureau Telematica Binnenvaart and Autena Marine. They have joined forces to make it possible to establish a huge and continuously growing databank of ship measurements, which can be used as a basis for sustainable growth and knowledge development.
