Scale effects on foils and fins in steady and unsteady flow
Scale effects on foil lift and drag are described for low Reynolds number conditions typically encountered during model testing. Both steady and unsteady flow conditions are addressed. Experimental data are discussed which illustrate scale effects. Some strategies to control scale effects are reviewed.
