A RANS-based analysis tool for ducted propeller systems in open water condition

In the present paper a simple computational model for the ducted propeller is proposed by representing the propeller as an actuator disk of finite thickness, while the duct is maintained inits true shape. The method introduced in this paper lends itself well for investigating several ductshapes such as the 19A and 37 ducts and to develop possibly better alternatives.
