Do you like to solve challenging technical problems that are at the cutting edge of the maritime industry? Come join our team and work towards a sustainable and safe use of the sea.
Who will be your colleagues?
You’ll join the Offshore department, a team of 34 professionals working in smaller, specialized groups. Together we develop tools that address pressing market questions and support MARIN’s mission of Better ships, Blue oceans. Your direct colleagues are a diverse, multidisciplinary mix of data analysts, numerical specialists and project managers.
What will your work involve?
Within the Offshore department, we work on basin tests and numerical modelling of offshore structures for primarily the Offshore energy and Blue growth markets. In the department, we perform basin tests on model scale structures, build & use numerical models to help our clients answer their questions.
In your daily work, you will analyze and interpret basin data, perform quality checks, and present the results to a project manager. You will also set-up and execute simulations using our in-house developed tools. Together with a project manager, you determine which simulations to run and how to answer the clients questions in the best way. Since we would like to integrate our services, you will learn how to combine basin results to tune numerical models, or how to transfer our numerical models to the simulators.
