Conference/JournalYucel Odabasi Colloquium Series - 2nd International Meeting Recent Advances in Prediction Techniques for Safe Manoeuvring of Ships and Submarines, Istanbul, Turkey
Date17 Nov 2016
In the paper, we make an overview of prediction techniques and some of the developments in the last years. This is done from the viewpoint of the author: as user of every technique in his daily work, and as observed of ITTC common techniques. Finally, various attempts have been made to quantify the accuracy of each prediction method. Among others the SIMMAN workshops for surface ships enabled to make an overview on the maturing of new prediction techniques.
