Are you a CFD developer or expert in ship hydrodynamics? Then now is the time to make your mark. We invite you to submit your results for W2025 — the renowned Workshop on CFD in Ship Hydrodynamics — before the deadline of June 30. This is your opportunity to contribute to a global benchmark effort, compare your work with others, and help advance the field. For submitting results, we have a dedicated Teams environment: Instructions – W2025.
About W2025 Since 1980, this workshop has brought together the international CFD community to assess the state-of-the-art in CFD for ship hydrodynamics. Through well-defined test cases, we aim to objectively and quantitatively compare results, enhance physical understanding, improve code development, and strengthen the reliability of CFD for ship design and evaluation. During W2025, results will be discussed in plenary and poster sessions, and informally during breaks — a great opportunity to connect with peers, share insights, and explore the latest developments in CFD methods and applications. Registration for the workshop 17-19 November will open soon.
W2025 will take place 17–19 November 2025 in Wageningen, the Netherlands, and is organised by Serge Toxopeus (host, MARIN) in cooperation with Fred Stern (chair, University of Iowa), Takanori Hino (secretary, Yokohama National University ), Michel Visonneau ECN-CNRS), and Decheng Wan (Shanghai Jiao Tong University).
