Yvonne Koldenhof is a Senior Project Manager/Teamlead and maritime risk assessment specialist at MARIN. After graduating in Applied Mathematics from the University of Twente in 2003, she joined MARIN and began working on safety assessment studies using the SAMSON model. Throughout her career, she has been involved in a broad range of projects related to maritime safety and risk assessment, covering offshore platforms, offshore wind farms, LNG terminals, and navigational safety studies. She has also conducted extensive research into the risks and consequences of oil outflow resulting from ship collisions. In addition to leading projects, Yvonne has contributed significantly to the development of the SAMSON model and advises both industry and government on maritime risk assessment and safety-related decision making. She has participated in several European research initiatives, including MARNIS, BE-AWARE, and OpenRisk.
