What are you going to do?
You will operate within our Transport and Shipping team. Your projects will focus on safe seakeeping behaviour of merchant vessels. Typical application cases include open top compliance, parametric roll, springing and whipping and wave added resistance. You will contribute to development and benchmarking of the underlying tools. This will require excellence in using all type of methodologies available at MARIN (numerical and experimental). You will be involved in all aspects related to your projects: contact with the client, development of proposals, management of project, technical implementation, interpretation of the results, reporting, but also acquisition and new business development.
 
Who are we looking for?
An enthusiastic candidate with a degree in maritime technology (or similar), experienced in naval architecture and high interest in simulation studies and model experiments. You have good advice, reporting and presentation skills and a high conceptual ability. You should also have a good command of the English language and be willing to learn Dutch if that is not your mother language. You are a team player and able to take initiatives for improvements.
