Dear visitor of MARIN,
An increasing number of patients have been diagnosed with the corona virus in The Netherlands (see for more information: https://www.rivm.nl/en and https://www.rivm.nl/en/novel-coronavirus/questions-and-answers-novel-coronavirus#039;s%20novel%20coronavirus%20COVID-19. The Dutch authorities do everything to prevent further infections in our country. As MARIN we closely follow the recommendations of the government, RIVM and the Arbo Unie (occupational physician) to protect our employees, clients, suppliers and their families.
In line with this, we issued the following instructions to all employees and visitors at MARIN:
- Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or use alcohol-based disinfectant hand gel.
- Cough and sneeze in a tissue or the inside of your elbow.
- Use paper handkerchiefs once and throw them away in a lockable trash can.
- Do not shake hands.
- Stay at home if you don't feel well, even if you don't have the symptoms of the corona virus immediately. Only come to MARIN again when you feel completely healthy again.
In addition to this we have asked our cleaning professionals to focus on the cleaning of objects we touch, like door handles and push buttons, with a safe chlorine-containing agent.
Please make sure that you only visit MARIN when you feel healthy and do not have a fever or respiratory problems (coughing or shortness of breath).
Should you experience these symptoms please stay at home or in your hotel and inform MARIN. Your project manager will help you get in contact with a local doctor (phone from the Netherlands: 0318-200800) or the Municipal Public Health Service (GGD, phone from the Netherlands: 0800-8446000).
We will do our utmost to make you feel comfortable during your stay at MARIN, but it might be possible that we have to restrict your freedom of movement in our offices and facilities. In case of uncertainty from your or our side, we can set up a livestream with continuous contact with your MARIN Project Manager in the same time zone.
As the Dutch RIVM states that the use of mouth caps is not effective in preventing, but rather encourages the spread of the corona virus, our policy is that at MARIN we do not wear mouth caps. We kindly request you to respect this policy and to not wear mouth caps on our premises. Should you feel uncomfortable with this policy, please do not visit MARIN. We hope you understand our position in this matter and trust we can count on your cooperation.
With your registration at MARIN’s reception desk you indicate that you are healthy and that you approve of our safety policy.
Dr. Bas Buchner
