In 2020, the FPSO Research Forum and Blue Forum will take place in the Netherlands. It is no coincidence that we have decided to organise these two important events at the same location and during the same week. They will both take place on the ss Rotterdam with their own discussion groups, seminars and JIP meetings during the week.
The future of ocean energy and shipping
On Wednesday May 27 we are holding a joint forum because we recognise the importance of working together to build and shape the future of ocean energy and shipping. We hope this challenging setting will help us all look forward with confidence and take on our responsibilities as future makers! For the detailed programme and registration of this event and the joint forum, see www.fpsoforum.com and www.blueforum.org.
FPSO research forum
The 44th edition of the FPSO JIP Week is scheduled for May 25-29, 2020 and will be hosted by MARIN in Wageningen. In the FPSO Research Forum, oil companies, operators, contractors, yards, research institutes and safety authorities share their experience in FPSO's. Subjects covering the complete lifecycle form concept developments to operation are presented in the Forum and new ideas and development plans are discussed.
The FPSO Research Forum was initiated by participants in the FPSO Integrity JIP in 1998 and has been meeting twice a year since. The Forum's open meetings form part of the FPSO JIP Week in which Joint Industry Projects related to the FPSO R&D have their progress meetings.
