Since 1973 I work at MARIN and graduated in 1981 in Technical Physics and Naval Architecture. After being a member of the data analysing department of MARIN and head of the the drawing office, in 1995 he became project manager of the Ships Powering Department. Through all those years he developed towards a specialist in ship hydrodynamics with the focus on improving the hull form and the ship propulsor interaction for all different ship types, such as Fast Monohull Ferries, Tankers, Container Vessels, Cruise Liners, LNG Carriers, Dredging vessels Inland waterway, short sea ships and Navy vessels. He was involved in development of podded propulsors for Cruise vessels, in various European joint industry projects and in the integration of potential and viscous flow CFD codes in the day to day hull form development. Since 2001 he is Principal Project Manager of the Ships Powering group, leading a team of specialist in the field of ship hydrodynamics. In this role he is responsible for the industrial services in the field of ship powering for a large number of Shipyards all over the world. In 2010 he became a Senior Project Manager in the Ships Powering department and become responsible for the coordination of the Cruise & Ferry market team.
