What are you going to do? You will join our Software Engineering team within our Simulation & Visualisation department.As MARIN we are developing a completely new Seven Oceans Simulator centre (SOSc) in which various maritime bridge simulators, different types of virtual and augmented reality systems, haptic systems, a cable robot and hexapod motion platforms will be brought together. The aim of the new centre is to provide a safe environment where complex and critical maritime operations can be carried out for research and training purposes. You will develop VR/AR applications in combination with MARIN’s real-time simulation software Dolphin. You work together in a team of other software engineers, human factor specialists and specialists in the field of maritime operations. You are the lead-engineer in our VR/AR development team. You will also be given the opportunity to experiment with the latest VR and AR resources. You will be involved in the development of SOSc and you will participate in innovative research assignments.
Who are we looking for? An enthusiastic senior software engineer specialized in VR/AR technologies. Working in a team gives you energy and you have experience in leading projects and coaching junior experts. You have developed an agile mind-set and you enjoy applying new technology in practice. You develop software in C++/C#, for projects for real-time VR/AR platforms such as Unreal and Unity.
