Who will be your colleagues? As an Electrical Engineer Power Systems you will join our Engineering & Measurements team, part of the Performance at Sea (PAS) department. This department consists of 35 enthusiastic colleagues whose mission is making the operation of ships and offshore structures safer, smarter and cleaner. We ensure that ships, structures and crews operate clean, smart and safe. We measure, troubleshoot and coach on board. We develop algorithms and systems to allow crews to work safely, efficiently and effectively.
What are you going to do? As an Electrical Engineer Power systems you will go on board to understand and evaluate the performance of power-, propulsion- and energy (PPE) systems. You will draw-up an instrumentation plan to measure the performance of PPE-systems on board or to monitor their performance characteristics over a longer period. You will prepare the instrumentation and take the lead in the installation on board. You will analyse the measurement data and conduct root cause analysis to propose corrective actions to improve the performance of equipment. You will act as a mentor and provide training to team members.

Who are we looking for? A passionate candidate with a Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineer Power Systems. You are experienced in instrumentation and electrical design for power systems. You already have working experience with installation on board. You have in-depth knowledge of PPE-systems. Knowledge of electrical propulsion is an advantage. You are a team player who likes to take initiative for improvements. You should also have a good command of the English language and be willing to learn Dutch if that is not your native language. You are willing to travel and perform the required work worldwide.
