Simulator Sales
General information
MARIN has an active history in the development of (full-mission) bridge simulators, either for study and training purposes at MARIN’s Nautical Centre MSCN or for delivery to its customers.

Due to the modularity of the technology, the software (Mermaid500) not only serves Full-Mission Bridge Simulators (FMB’s) but also systems of limited size, or more task specific simulators. The software is DNV approved and based on extensive and on-going research into the field of ship hydrodynamics, port and waterway design. The MARIN mathematical ship models are widely considered as highly sophisticated manoeuvring models that are based on sea trials and model test results.

Services & Activities
Simulator Sales activities range from:
  • system integrator on a turn key project base
  • supplier of simulation technology and computer systems
  • development of tailor-made modules
  • database development
  • development of mathematical models
