Intro
The MoorSparTM mooring system is a new, SBM Atlantia design that allows an FPSO to be moored using existing yoke technology. To investigate the different aspects of this new concept, MARIN performed an extensive set of complex model tests simulating Gulf of Mexico conditions in its Deep Water Offshore Basin, at the end of 2007.
