The objective of the Ships Consultancy business unit is to make MARIN’s extensive hydromechanical know-how, tools and ship design experience readily available to your project. In design specification and (concept) design stages hydromechanical considerations have a great impact on the operational performance of a vessel during future services and missions. In the early project stages this business unit can support you with a single consultancy contact.
The consultants have their roots in the specialised disciplines of powering, seakeeping and manoeuvring. The integration between the traditional disciplines of powering, seakeeping and manoeuvring secure a better synergy to assist in your early design stages. As well the members of this business unit manage multi-disciplinary projects where the synergy between the disciplines and in the management of the project are important to the customer.
The broad expertise will yield the development of a complete consultancy service for concept design process of ships. The business unit will develop in close cooperation with the existing specialised units that remain present as back-up or to handle detailed specialised tasks.
