MARIN offers commercial off the shelf and customized software that can be integrated into existing IT infrastructures such as CAD/CAM systems or design studios. All software can be used for analysis, prediction, modelling and simulation in all phases of a project i.e. conceptual design, engineering and training. Off-the-shelf-tools and MARIN customized software is continuously validated with model test results and full-scale data which makes our software unique.

Services & Activities
As customers are moving towards global and concurrent engineering concepts, and demand for flexible solutions and intelligent decision support systems increases, MARIN software is built using modern software engineering concepts. This implies that user-interfaces, mathematical models and databases are developed and maintained separately and are connected through the use of open interfaces. The Software Engineering and Support department is continuously improving and updating all software to incorporate both new hydro dynamical and new software engineering concepts. For most of the MARIN software the programming language Java is used, making the software platform independent. In this way the client software can run on Windows (NT, XP) and Unix workstations.
MARIN software is designed from a user perspective. General accepted and known features of commonly used tools are also available in MARIN software. Working with a tree overview on the left and details on the right is common behavior for the Microsoft windows explorer. Using XML as common output format enables integration with other third party software tools. Being able to send results from calculations through email greatly improves sharing data and stimulating teamwork. All these features are incorporated in the MARIN software. But it does not stop there, as technology moves forward, so will the MARIN software. It is continuously improved to keep up with the latest technology.
