Vessel Operator Forum meets in Norway and France
On June 4 and 5 the Vessel Operator Forum (VOF) was hosted by UECC in Grimstad, Norway. The Forum is a platform for ship owners, operators, designers, yards, suppliers, R&D institutes and class societies to exchange experience on the operational aspects of ships and to discus the common need for new technology.

Feedback from actual service of ships is key to concept and design development. Also the vessel operation itself can benefit in safety and economy from dedicated R&D. In the Vessel Operator Forum, ship owners and operators meet with specialists from yards, suppliers, authorities and R&D institutes to discuss the demands of shipping industry and to guide technology development.

The Forum was initiated in November 2007 with the first meeting hosted by Stena in Gothenburg. The next Forum will be hosted by CMA-CGM in Marseille on November 19 and 20.
