Based on increasing demand for its ship design service, MARIN has created a new business unit, Ships Consultancy. This new team takes its roots from the expertise developed and maintained within the specialised disciplines of powering, seakeeping and manoeuvring and from MARIN’s extensive hydrodynamic knowledge. The integrated unit will provide better continuity for multidisciplinary projects and the broad expertise will allow MARIN to offer a complete consultancy service for the concept design process of ships.
Officially launched in January, the unit is headed by Guilhem Gaillarde, who has worked within the seakeeping field of MARIN since 1997. He is joined by Patrick Hooijmans and Giedo Loeff who both come from the powering and manoeuvring sectors. The team aims to serve your design development needs and support you in making the best use of MARIN’s hydrodynamic knowledge.
