Hydrodynamics of Floating Offshore Structures, Oct 29 - Nov 1 2007
Every year MARIN organises its course ‘Hydrodynamics of Floating Offshore Structures’ at its Wageningen facilities in the Netherlands. Last year it was organised for the first time in Houston as well. Course objectives
The course gives an overview of the latest experiences in a broad range of important fields, such as Vortex Induced Motions of platforms, extreme metocean conditions (hurricane waves, loop currents, wind squalls), Vortex Induced Vibrations of risers, wave impact and green water loads, Dynamic Positioning (DP), coupled mooring analysis, offloading operations, shallow water mooring, complex installations, hydrostructural aspects and deep water model testing of Spars, Semis, TLPs and FPSOs.
