After a three-year working relationship with our Chinese partner institute SSSRI, in Shanghai, the two organisations have now agreed to extend their cooperation.
During the last three years, the partners have made technical progress and brought a joint approach to the market, undertaking many common projects together. The cooperation was recently marked by a one-day seminar held on February 28, in Shanghai. This seminar introduced the joint and exclusive market approach of SSSRI and MARIN to China.
Now, under the joint brand SSSRI/MARIN, the strong points and products of both institutes will be integrated into a common service for the Chinese market. SSSRI/MARIN aims to offer reliable and independent advice on hydrodynamic design and research questions, at all stages of the design process and during the construction of a ship. The combined capabilities in China and Europe will be available to the Chinese market, with SSSRI/MARIN offering the full range of hydrodynamic services, from consultancy to testing.
