The 20th anniversary of the FPSO JIP week was made a great success by local organiser Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI). The meetings of a large group of JIPs (Monitas, ComFLOW-2, Offloading Operability II, Mooring Integrity II, HAWAI, Chain OPB bending fatigue, Salt 2 and Current Affairs) combined with an interesting FPSO Research forum brought a large group of industry representatives from all over the world to Gyeongju.
The FPSO Research Forum focused on shipyard practices and had interesting contributions from HHI, DSME and Samsung and the classification societies. This, combined with a trip to the HHI shipyards in Ulsan and a nice dinner hosted by HHI, gave a real Korean flavor to this important event.

The next FPSO JIP week will be in Trondheim and will be hosted by Statoil (21-25 April 2008), see www.fpsoresearchforum.com.
