MARIN's offshore multi-body simulation tools are used for a wide range of applications, including coupled mooring analysis, dynamic positioning (DP) , multiple body simulations during offshore lifting, and tandem and side-by-side offloading. Many of these capabilities can be linked to each other, for example to determine the dynamic positioning capabilities of a crane vessel during an offshore lifting operation. Software developments are always based on the model basin experience of MARIN, ensuring that validation remains a top priority.
