We are happy to share our knowledge and expertise. We therfore organise specialist courses, aiming at professionals who want to become a specialist, in Engineering and Naval Architecture within the shipping, maritime and offshore industry. These courses are organised on a regular basis throughout the year.

We are not a training institute: we organise tailor made courses, always focussing on specific research subjects, because technological developments change rapidly. Our ‘trainers’ are the project managers that work together with the industry each day. This approach guarantees that you will always experience the latest developments and the best practical solutions. Never change a winning team.
Throughout the year we have experienced that some subjects remain of specific interest, so some training courses are returners, for instance ‘Hydrodynamics of floating offshore structures’ and ‘Hydrodynamics in ship design’, with either a five-day or three-day setup.

MEET OUR EXPERTS
We do not use special training centres, so you will be part of MARIN throughout the week. You will make calculations, build models, and test them in one of our test facilities, and you will of course meet our colleague experts. Or MARIN comes to you to set up the course on your premises using your own facilities.

Tailoir made courses
In addition to the courses above, MARIN is able to organise courses either at our premises in Wageningen or on location. These courses are tailor made, in a broad range of subjects and are always given by our own experts. Lectures can be alternated with case studies to give participants hands-on experience.
As these tailor made courses require significant preparation time and scheduling due to our limit number of experts, please take into account lead times of up to a year to realise these kind of courses.
Payment

- Cancellation within 2 weeks of the start of the course: 100% of the course fee.
- Cancellation within 1 month of the start of the course: 30% of the course fee.
- In other cases the cancellation is free of charge.
